Careers at Itoflow

Set the standard for agentic investing

Itoflow turns every investment mandate into a governed Strategy Unit: an AI workspace that researches, monitors, and recommends, with a human approving every move and a full audit trail. We are hiring the early team that gets to work out how all of this should actually work.

Itoflow is a small, ambitious team building the trust layer for agentic investing: the AI does the research, and people keep the authority. Everyone here owns a real piece of the product, works directly with the founders, and ships to real users.

Why join now

There is no playbook yet

Agentic investing is new enough that nobody has settled how it should work. The interesting part is making it simple to use while keeping every recommendation checkable, every control solid, and every decision safe to make.

Help work out a new kind of product before anyone has decided the right way to build it.
Decide how a financial agent should explain itself, show its evidence, suggest a move, and ask a person to sign off.
Work in a small team that cares about craft, technical depth, getting the regulation right, and learning fast.
Take genuinely complex systems and make them feel calm and trustworthy to use.
How we work

What we care about

01

The user always knows what is going on

People should be able to see where they are, what the system has done, what backs up a recommendation, and exactly what they are being asked to decide.

02

We show our work

The product makes the reasoning, the data, the constraints, the approvals, and the audit trail easy to inspect. We would rather be clear than look clever.

03

Compliance is part of the product

In regulated investing you cannot leave compliance to a final review. Product, policy, and risk decisions get made together, early, by people who talk to each other.

04

It holds up when things go wrong

Data goes stale, markets move, models get unsure, people disagree, approvals get withheld. The system has to behave well through all of it, not just in the demo.

05

You own your area

This is an early team. You will decide the approach, build it, ship it with engineering, learn from real users, and keep making it better.

The role

Itoflow's agents do quantitative research: they build signals, run backtests, construct portfolios, and assemble evidence-backed recommendations. You will own the methodology behind that work and the standard for what makes a claim trustworthy.

This is a chance to encode real quant rigour into a system that runs continuously, across many mandates, under human review. The methodology you set becomes part of the platform, not a one-off notebook.

Why this role matters

An agentic investing product is only as good as the research underneath it. The agents need sound methodology, and every recommendation has to survive institutional scrutiny.

Your work decides whether a number an agent reports can be trusted, traced, and reproduced.

What you will own

  • Define the research methodology the agents follow across signal construction, normalisation, information coefficients, backtesting, portfolio construction, and risk.
  • Set the standard for evidence-linked claims, so every number traces back to a signal, an information coefficient, and a backtest run.
  • Shape the strategy specification primitives, including signals, triggers, and constraints, so strategies are typed, testable, and reproducible months later.
  • Stress-test agent research for overfitting, data snooping, regime change, capacity, and transaction costs.
  • Review agent-produced research and decisions for methodological soundness before they reach users.
  • Partner with engineering on the data, backtesting, and experiment-tracking infrastructure.

What strong work looks like

  • Agent research holds up to institutional diligence.
  • Claims are reproducible: the same data and the same code give the same result months later.
  • Backtests account honestly for costs, capacity, and overfitting risk.
  • Methodology lives in the platform and the strategy specification, not in one person's head.
  • Risk and uncertainty are surfaced in the recommendation, not hidden behind a clean number.

What we are looking for

  • Four to five years in quantitative research at a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, or investment bank.
  • Strong grounding in signals, factor models, backtesting, portfolio construction, and risk.
  • Fluency in Python and the quant stack, with the judgement to know how strategies fail in production.
  • A habit of encoding methodology into reusable, testable systems rather than one-off notebooks.
  • Healthy scepticism about backtests and a serious approach to overfitting, costs, and capacity.
  • Comfort working with AI agents as collaborators and setting the standard for their research quality.

The role

Own end-to-end UX for an agentic investment product where the best interface often feels ambient: present when users need confidence, quiet when the system is doing the work, and explicit when money, risk, or approval is involved.

You will design onboarding, strategy authoring, dashboards, and decision-review surfaces so users can navigate confidently and reviewers can see a credible, high-trust platform. You will also build the visual design system across typography, colour, component patterns, and data visualisation, then apply it consistently across product, marketing pages, investor decks, and institutional-client materials.

This is a chance to help define what safe, resilient agent UX looks like in fintech.

Why this role matters

Most agent products still feel like chat windows wrapped around unclear systems. Itoflow needs a product experience where users can understand what the agent knows, what it is uncertain about, what it recommends, what evidence supports it, and where human authority begins.

The work turns complex agent behaviour into interfaces people can trust.

What you will own

  • Design onboarding flows that help users understand what Itoflow does, what it does not do, and how to create a governed strategy mandate without feeling overloaded.
  • Design strategy authoring surfaces for natural-language intent, structured constraints, risk rules, review cadence, and deployment mode.
  • Design dashboards that make strategy state, evidence, performance, open work, exceptions, and approvals easy to scan.
  • Design decision-review surfaces where recommendations, assumptions, evidence, risks, sizing impact, and approval state are clear.
  • Build and maintain the Itoflow visual design system across product UI, public site, investor materials, and institutional-client artefacts.
  • Turn complex agent behaviour into approachable UI patterns that make reasoning, evidence, uncertainty, review state, and auditability easy to understand.
  • Run lightweight UX research with alpha users and prospective institutional buyers.
  • Ship informed design changes to production alongside engineering.

What strong work looks like

  • Users know what action is being asked of them and why.
  • Reviewers can trace a recommendation back to its mandate, evidence, constraints, and audit record.
  • Agent activity feels ambient: users see the right state at the right moment.
  • The product feels calm, credible, precise, and purposeful.
  • Risk, uncertainty, exceptions, and approvals are visible without making the whole product feel anxious.
  • Data visualisation patterns are consistent enough to become part of the platform language.
  • Product, website, deck, and client materials feel like one system.

What we are looking for

  • Experience designing complex software products, ideally involving workflows, data, approvals, regulated environments, finance, AI, or developer/productivity tools.
  • Strong visual craft across typography, layout, colour, interaction states, and information hierarchy.
  • Ability to simplify complex system behaviour without hiding important risk, uncertainty, or control boundaries.
  • Comfort working directly with engineering and founders to move from ambiguous problem to shipped product.
  • Ability to use lightweight research, customer conversations, and product usage to make design decisions.
  • A portfolio that shows both product UX depth and polished visual execution.

The role

Own Itoflow's compliance and regulatory affairs function as the company moves from early product and customer testing toward regulated financial services activity.

This role is for someone who can build the compliance framework, shape product-launch decisions, and work closely with product, engineering, counsel, and regulators. You will make the right boundaries explicit early, so Itoflow can earn trust and scale responsibly.

You will help set the standard for safe agentic finance: where agents can research, where they can recommend, where humans must review, and how every decision remains explainable after the fact.

Why this role matters

Agentic fintech earns trust through clear operating models, resilient controls, and product evidence that shows what happened.

Compliance at Itoflow is built into the product architecture.

What you will own

  • Build Itoflow's compliance framework for a regulated investment business.
  • Own policy and operating standards across financial promotions, suitability, client categorisation, conflicts, complaints, market-abuse surveillance, AML/KYC, GDPR, and control evidence.
  • Sit on product-launch and live-trading readiness decisions.
  • Define the policy line between research, recommendation, review, approval, and execution.
  • Ensure product controls, human-review boundaries, and audit records are understandable and defensible.
  • Manage external counsel and regulatory relationships.
  • Lead Itoflow's response to relevant regulatory change.
  • Establish the foundations for a compliance committee and ongoing governance cadence as the company grows.

What strong work looks like

  • The company can clearly explain which activities are in scope, which are out of scope, and what controls apply.
  • Product teams understand compliance constraints early enough to design with them.
  • Launch decisions have a visible record of policy, risk, and control review.
  • Customer-facing claims, onboarding, approvals, and review surfaces are consistent with the firm's regulatory posture.
  • Agent behaviour, escalation paths, and human authority boundaries are safe by design from launch.
  • External counsel and regulatory interactions are coordinated, documented, and turned into operating decisions.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in UK financial services compliance, regulatory affairs, risk, legal, or control functions.
  • Practical understanding of regulated investment, wealth, brokerage, advice, or fintech operating models.
  • Ability to translate regulation into product and operating decisions.
  • Strong judgement on customer protection, financial promotions, suitability, execution boundaries, governance, and evidence.
  • Comfort building a framework that is rigorous enough to protect customers and practical enough for an early team.
  • Clear written communication and the ability to chair difficult decisions with product, engineering, commercial, and external stakeholders.

The role

Own Itoflow's early go-to-market motion: positioning, acquisition, activation, and the systems that turn a new category into repeatable demand.

This role combines positioning, acquisition, funnel experimentation, partnerships, and early team-building. The goal is to find repeatable demand from professionals who need better ways to create, test, monitor, and review investment strategies.

You will turn a technically ambitious product into a market people understand: ambient enough to feel natural, safe enough to trust with financial decisions, and resilient enough to become part of a professional workflow.

Why this role matters

Itoflow is introducing governed Strategy Units: workspaces that help users research, monitor, review, and approve investment decisions.

The growth challenge is to make that category obvious to the right early markets, then build the acquisition and activation loops that prove repeatable demand.

What you will own

  • Own the early-market go-to-market strategy, including positioning, channel mix, acquisition loops, and the learning cadence that tells us where demand is strongest.
  • Build the acquisition engine across founder-network referrals, content, SEO, partnerships, and selective paid acquisition.
  • Own the funnel from signup to activation, strategy executed, live testing, and paid conversion.
  • Define and run the experimentation cadence that improves each funnel step.
  • Lead Itoflow brand and positioning across customer-facing artefacts.
  • Partner with design on landing pages, role-specific collateral, lifecycle journeys, and pitch materials.
  • Build the growth team after seed stage, including content, lifecycle, performance marketing, and partnerships.

What strong work looks like

  • Each target market has a clear customer hypothesis, message, channel strategy, and activation path.
  • The team knows which funnel metric matters this week and what experiment is running to improve it.
  • Customer-facing language makes agentic investing feel concrete, credible, and safe.
  • Partnerships and content produce qualified conversations with the right early markets.
  • Growth work feeds product insight back into onboarding, activation, and strategy creation.
  • Itoflow becomes associated with a standard for professional, governed, agentic investing.

What we are looking for

  • Experience owning growth, go-to-market, lifecycle, partnerships, content, or acquisition for a startup or high-growth product.
  • Ability to prioritize markets rather than pursue every customer at once.
  • Strong positioning instincts for complex products.
  • Comfort with both founder-led selling and scalable acquisition systems.
  • Analytical discipline across CAC, activation, conversion, retention, and payback.
  • Ability to hire and lead a small team after proving the first repeatable motion.
